Introduction to our college

S.B.P.G college, Badlapur , Jaunpur is situated in Varanasi, Lucknow  N.H. 56 Tehsil, head-quarters Badlapur, a town, located 30kms. West of Jaunpur. Being well connected with remote villages and markets, it’s the best place from academic view point.

 

Its stimulating and holistic living environment contributes significantly to superior academic performance. Inspired with specific aims and objectives of education,and to perpetuate and commemorate reminiscences of a warrior,freedom fighter and martyr viz. Saltanat Bahadur singh, a dauntless man with deep rooted devotion and faith in Indian culture. Honourable Aditya Narayan Singh with kind co-operation of Pt. Shiv Murti Chaturvedi, Gauri Sahnkar Gupta, Gopal Sahai Joshi and subvened by suburbans and local community,laid the foundation of Saltanat Bahadur Higher Secondary School,Badlapur,Jaunpur on the auspicious occasion of Ram Nawami in the month of chaitra in 1951. Thus,they made the famous Chinese proverb true that “A thousand miles journey starts with a single step”. Later on, the committee of management handed over the management of the school in the active hands of wanna be manager Thakur Dharmraj Singh, an academic acumen.

 

With indefatigable and aplombic efforts of Thakur Dharmraj Singh, S.B.P.G. college Badlapur,Jaunpur was first established in 1973 with its affiliation in the arts faculty. Thereafter, The college is progressing by leaps and bounds.

 

From 1973 to 1988 this college was affiliated to Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur. After the establishment of Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University, Jaunpur, the college got its affiliation to this university from the session 1988-1989.

 

In order to eternalize memory of Saltanat Bahadur Singh, Trust Board/management committee, established a marble statue of the martyr inside the front of the main gate (Amar Shahid Dwar) of the college.
